Angels We Have Heard On High

So trying to do Christmas cards has just not happened for us. Greg and I bought cards 7 years ago and we have yet to get those out (that was before kids). I don't know how people do it. I don't start thinking about Christmas until my birthday is over. Please forgive me for not sending you one. Please know that we love you and hope the days to come are blessed by our God!
Merry Christmas to all our friends and family!

Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:10-11

We pray you and your family enjoy this holiday season while celebrating Jesus!
Love,
Greg, Rebekah, Carlee and Zachary

Birthday Festivities

My Birthday was so much fun! I received breakfast in bed from my family. Complete with waffles, eggs, smoothie, candles, cards, and singing. I love my family! Greg let me go for a run and then to get a pedicure and manicure with my mom. That evening my mom babysat the kids while Greg took me shopping and out to dinner.

My mom gave me their card before I left to shop. Thanks mom and dad for the card and money!

Carlee bought me a "Beautiful" card this year. It was very sweet and thoughtful. I love my kids!

We went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner after three hours of shopping. Greg got me a sweet card that reminded me of the very first card he ever got me from our first Valentine's day! I love this man and how he remembers special times like that. We're getting close to our 10 year anniversary from our first date. We shared our entire meal. Corn cakes, wine, salmon, and cheesecake. It was so yummy!
I am so upset because I am too full to finish my cheesecake.
I tried to take one more bite, but I am hurting inside.
I am about to cry because I am so full, but I am really laughing
I DID IT!!!
I tried on some dresses at White House/Black Market after a very full tummy.
I loved this one! Every gal should have a little black dress.
My sis made me some Rosebud lips for my birthday (my headband and rose clip). So much fun!
We went to BJ's the next evening for some pizza and fun!
Grammy and PawPaw had a fun time being silly with the kids.
More birthday dessert..... I am going to need to workout again.
Carlee loved sharing their dessert. Chocolate brownie and chocolate ice cream. Somebody is going to be wired!
Real cute, huh?
If I would have known this was the only picture that would be taken of me and my bebe, then I probably would have smiled. haha
SILLY Faces

Thank you family for making this birthday so fun and great!! You are the BEST GIFT ever! I could not feel more blessed!

32 TODAY!

Life is GOOD! I have JESUS, grace for each day, a family who loves me, friends who care for me, what more can a gal ask for?! Thankfully, I am growing in wisdom, patience, self-control, praise and selflessness (some things God has been working on in me), not that I have achieved them, but I press on. Today is a great day!! THIS is the day the Lord has made!! I thank Him for life! He is the one who supplies all my needs and fills my heart. I can not live without Him and I continue to choose Him each day!!
I'm looking forward to a weekend of celebration with family and friends! Hoping to post some pictures of the fun!

Zachary Sayings

I do not want to forget what this boy has said recently that has cracked me up.
- When took my Miemaw to Taco Bell a couple of weeks ago, Zachary had his first bean and cheese burrito. This was Zachary's first time to Taco Bell and when Zachary took his first bite of the burrito he said, "Wow, I just didn't know people made food like this!!" He obviously love it and ate it all. I have definitely been conscience in my efforts to stay far from fast food, but when you can get a cheap lunch for under a dollar, then sometimes it is worth it. We have been there twice now.
- The other night Zachary woke up to the sound of his alarm going off at 12am. He had played with it earlier that afternoon and had messed with the switches, obviously turning the alarm on. He ran to our bedroom when he heard it buzz and he said with his hair all crazy and his body all tired and his eyes closed, "Somebody is trying to call me." Then he wondered back to his room and I turned it off.
I love this boy and all his funny comments.

Thanksgiving Day

We had Thanksgiving lunch at Grammy and Paw Paw's house with Greg brother's family. Carlee is posing in front of the dining room table. She's looks like she is doing a curtsy.

Carlee wanted to take a picture of me and Grammy and I am glad she did.

When we get together with this little man, there is always a whole lot of laughs. Check out these faces..... pretty similar and hilarious!

These kids had lots of fun together. They acted silly all day long.

This has become my Thanksgiving dish (sweet potato, apples and cranberries) two years in a row. It is really good. Thank you Pamered Chef!

Waiting patiently to eat

Carlee found out that she loves stuffing this year. Yummy!

Our family.... Zachary is thinking about smiling....

Matt, Quint and Nathan minus baby Jesse, who was sleeping

Greg's parents

Grammy made awesome brownies with melted Symphony chocolate in the middle. YUM!

This was just the beginning of all the sugar they had

Zachary loved putting on Paw Paw's hat. What a cutie pie!

Carlee put on Grammy's hat. Very Posh!

They finished the evening with a cup of blue bell vanilla ice cream on the step.

We enjoyed spending the day with our family. We are so blessed to have family here to spend Thanksgiving with. It was a fun and delicious day, despite the Longhorns lose.

I hope your Thanksgiving was filled with special moments. We know that the most important part of Thanksgiving is having a thankful heart. This is truly a gift that only comes through knowing and loving Jesus. My heart is full of thanks for His mercy, grace and love that He gives me everyday. It's only because of Him that I can love Him more and more. He has a way of bringing the best and the worst out of me to bring me closer to Him and make me more like Him.

Uncle James and Cassie's Wedding

Last Sunday we celebrated the union of James and Cassie. It was a quiet backyard wedding. Simple and sweet! It is good to see my uncle so happy. Cassie is a beautiful woman with a beautiful spirit. They make one lovely couple.... don't you think.
Carlee with my cousin Ellana

Carlee loved being close to Cassie in her beautiful dress.
Miemaw and I bought these purses together at Sam Moon. Comes to show you that she has such great taste. I love this womans sense of style..... always have.
It was great being around all my cousins and family again. What a wonderful day!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Carlee and daddy went to a daddy daughter dance at our church this past Saturday night. Carlee fell asleep in the car on the way there. We had been out all day running errands. She is our Sleeping Beauty.
Here they are all dressed up before going into the ballroom (our church worship center). They are looking really good. Carlee picked out daddy's tie and I helped curl Carlee's hair. She picked out her beautiful flower bow for her hair.
Here she is with her new best friend, Ryanne. This is our pastors grand daughter. They take ballet at the same dance studio and Ryanne absolutely adores Carlee, as you can tell from the picture.
Silly face
Carlee is dancing on stage and loving every minute of it. I have some video of Carlee dancing, but have not been able to download it to this post. If you want to see it. You can go to my facebook page and find it on my wall. I heard that she danced the night away!
While Greg and Carlee were dancing, Zachary and I went out for some Berry Pop (frozen healthy yogurt). Even though the weather was cold, the yogurt shop was nice a warm. Zachary had raspberry/pomegranate yogurt with sour gummy worms (it makes my lips pucker just thing about it). He ate all the gummies first and then asked to try a bite of mine (plain jane yogurt with blueberries). He decided he liked my yogurt better, so we switched. I was happy to switch, I need something tart and delicious. Zachary talked the whole time we were eating. He told me how much he loved me and we laughed a lot. Then we went over to the mall to ride the carousel before heading home. It was a special evening for all of us. We love our kids and love these memories built.
