We had a fun day at the Houston Zoo with our playgroup friends. I enjoyed carpooling with you Heidi. Thanks mom for coming and helping out with the kids. It was great having you there. I was stress free. What a beautiful day, we coudln't have asked for better weather. Thank you Lord! Carlee and Zachary had a blast looking at all the animals. Carlee loved the elephants and Zachary loved the fish. 
This past Saturday Carlee woke up and wanted to be a kitty cat. She has been reading a book about ballet and the girl in the book wears a cat costume in her dance. So, mommy got creative and this is what I came up with. Greg was thoroughly impressed. Carlee spent the whole day in this costume and enjoyed pouncing around the house like a cat and meowing. She was quit a hoot. She even told us that we should call her kitty cat when speaking to her. Three is a fun age. I am amazed by her imagination.
Carlee, Zachary and I along with some friends from church went to take pictures in the bluebonnets today at Creekside Park here in the Woodlands. It was a great spot. I feel very blessed to have these nice areas around to play and enjoy God's creation. Here are some good shots of the kids.

Later, we ate lunch and played at the park. Carlee climbed this big rock and she was so proud of herself. I was a little nervous, but thankfully she was careful so I didn't have to worry too much. I thought this shot was pretty cute. Her and Levi played hard and had lots of fun together. It was a great day!

Carlee and Zachary took some great shots as well. I am amazed at how Zachary lets Carlee put her hands around his neck like that. She had his arms tied behind his back at one point. Too funny!
Beautiful girl. She loved wearing this dress because it is blue and she thinks she looks like Cinderella in it. Thank you Memaw for the pretty dress.
We went to my parents house after church for lunch. Carlee had a ball swinging on the tetter totter. This is one of her favorite things to do at Grandpa's and Nana's. This was my old swing set.
Here grandpa is showing Zachary the windchimes. Zachary would not let go. He loved playing with them so much that they got tangled really good. We went over to Greg's parents house and spent the rest of the day with them watching college basketball. Ed, Greg and I played catch outside for a little while. It was fun, but I get nervous when a hard fast ball is coming towards me and I have to catch it. However, I did well and did not get hurt. My husband got to see me in a whole new element. We had dinner with them and enjoyed our time together. Thanks for having us over. Love you guys!
On Sunday, Zachary pulled up in his crib for the first time. He was so proud of himself and so were we. Of coarse he hasn't tried it since, but it will come with time and practice.
Zachary also decided to crawl on his hands and knees finally. He moves a lot slower. You can tell he is really concentrating while doing this. Once he collapses, he goes back to elbows and knees. Too funny!
Today, Greg and I went to Jonathan and Maggie's wedding. They lead Intercessory worship at New Haven House of Prayer on Wednesday nights. The wedding was beautiful and such a blessing to witness. They have waited and waited for such a long time for this day. I know they are going to totally love being married. I was so blown away by the sweetness of Maggie's dad. He had gotten a key for her when she was 13 that represented the key to her heart and whenever she got married he would give that key to her husband. So he passed that key on to Jonathan today and told him that God would give him wisdom and understanding (just as God had given him through the years of being her father) into knowing how to love and communicate with Maggie concerning where she is at in her life. This just made me think of Carlee and her dad and how much I desire for him to have such a relationship. One that is sensitive, open, kind, compassionate, honest, true, obedient, and pure. I know we are on the right path and hope that Carlee will always want to honor her daddy. 
Carlee, Grammy, Nana and I went to the Cinderella musical on Friday night at the Barry Center. We had told her on Wednesday about the performance and she beamed with excitement. I wasn't quit sure what it was going to be like or if she would be able to sit through the whole show, but boy did she prove me wrong. She loved every bit of it and talked about it all night. The best part was meeting all the actors and actresses after the show and taking pictures with the step sisters, Cinderella and the prince. Carlee loved being up close and personal with them. I think she was a little star struck because she was so quiet around them. Her smile in all these pictures explains how much she loved meeting them. Carlee could not stop saying, "I had such a fun time," as we went to our cars to go home. Thanks Grammy for a fun girly evening!
A few words that describe Zachary at this stage of life: active, into everything, intense, passionate, happy, and no fear. He is on the go and loving being so mobile. It's definately a change and has caught me a little off guard. I find myself on the floor more these days and watching his every movement because you never know when he is going to tackle the DVD player or try pulling up for the first time (it is bound to happen any day now). Carlee and him are too cute together. He is attracted to everything she does and wants to be right in the action. She finds it fun, but also a little annoying (esspecially his loud voice). I hear her saying things like: "stop Zachary your being to loud," or "no Zachary that is my toy." It's kind of funny, but also something new to discipline. However, when it comes to telling Zachary no because he is into something he should not be touching, then Carlee is the reinforcement. She will tel him, "No, sir!" I still can't help but laugh everytime she says it. There's never a dull moment around our house. We are slowly making it outside more and more each day. It is the one place that keeps him the quietest. I'm sure once he starts walking we will be out for good. I'm looking forward to the Summer.
Carlee loved celebrating her Princess party with her family today. She actually helped plan her party this year. It's amazing what a difference a year can make. Carlee dressed up in her Cinderella princess dress her Grammy and Pawpaw gave her and partied like a princess. We had a wonderful time enjoying breakfast tacos, fruit, cupcakes and ice cream together. Thank you mom and Randle for helping me with the food. It was delicious! We gave Carlee her Princess bike and she is already riding it like a pro. What a memoriable day!! I still can't believe my first born is three! Where has the time gone? She was once so small and now she is growing into this beautiful girl who has a personality. She is funny, sweet, tenderhearted, and kind. She loves to sing, dance, play dress-up, read books, color, shop and play at the park. I look forward to the next three years and hope to enjoy all the special blessings that come with age. She will always be our princess!
