Eating Alfresco

The weather has been so nice lately, so we are taking advantage of it and have been eating lunch outside. I love the little clean-up it requires as well. Last week, we tossed a towel on the ground and ate on the driveway. Carlee and Zachary enjoyed making tortillas masks with their lunch and being goofy with them. Carlee made Zachary's mask and it didn't quite fit his face, but he didn't care. He loved being like his big sister. I love being outdoors with these two... for some reason I think they behave and get along so much better. There is something so peaceful and calming about the outdoors that makes them chill out and enjoy each other. Praise God for His creation!
On a side note: Carlee has been on a rhyming kick lately. One of her favorite phrases right now is "awesome-sauce-dippity-dauce." Many other phrases have been inspired from this "dippity" word (we are not sure if she heard this somewhere or just made it up). Greg and I have picked up on this slang and use it to be funny with the kids. Today Greg asked the kids if they wanted some "mango-dippity-dango?" Zachary loves to get in on the action as well and is learning to rhyme by all this commotion. I'll never forget going to Charming Charlie's with Carlee, she was shopping in the pink section of the store and she said, "Hot Pink dippity-dink." I laughed so hard. There's something about this rhyming thing using dippity that gets us all in a good mood. I love my Fancy Nancy Carlee, she is one 5 year old that knows how to use big words appropriately. Zachary is catching on very quickly as well (dippity-dell).

Weekend Activities

Zachary loved wearing his rain jacket, but putting the fire hat on top of his jacket was just a little too much. He's still so adorable to me! Not to mention the rain boats and shorts..... they are a fashion statement.
Everybody kept commenting on Zachary's shirt. I told them that it motivates me to be a great mom. However, I know it is God in me that ROCKS!! He is my only good!
Carlee's prize for winning a Hola Hoop contest. She was one of the older girls in the competition, so she pulled it off. She was thrilled!
Puffy the pine cone (the Woodlands mascot) My kids love him! Zachary finally warmed up to the charcters this time around. He has always been a little stand-off-ish in the past.
The Red cross shark at Earth Day

Last weekend we went to Earth day at the Woodlands High School and had a great time. It was a little rainy, but it cleared pretty quick once we got there. There was a band there "Vocal Trash," who did an awesome job making music out of plastic bottles, tin garbage cans, etc...
This past weekend we spent time at Market Street at a Mommy and Me event. There were dressed up characters, face painting, mini manicures, a petting zoo, the fountians (which are always a plus)and lots more. I love these FREE events our community sponsors. They always go above and beyond my expectations. Fun Times!!

8th Anniversary

We spent our anniversary at a Bed and Breakfast in Galveston. We stayed over night. It was just enough time to get refreshed and not get too used to being without the kids. Our room was beautiful. It looked like a rain forest.
I'm more in love with this man now than the day we met.
We had dinner at a Sushi Bar. I love my husband for letting me have something I love for dinner.
He enjoyed his chocolate liquor drink for dessert.
Greg tried one sushi at first and then he had more. He found out that he liked it too. YEAH!!
We ate our whole meal with chopsticks and had fun laughing at each other conquer the task. This was a meal we will never forget.

The next day was spent strolling down the sea wall and shopping a little at the Strand. Fun Times!

Easter at Grammy's and Pawpaw's

Pawpaw hid the eggs again. I think they found them all. Zachary found the golden egg this year. It was a tradition to search for a golden egg at my Miemaws house. It always had a dollar in it. However, I did not know Grammy had dollars in a lot of the eggs they hid.
Carlee looks upset. I think her brother found another egg. Carlee wound up getting $4. She was thrilled!
Easter baskets on the chairs.... clothes, candy, bubbles, dominoes, and big balls. Fun Fun!
She's just a little excited. :0
Beautiful flowers... beautiful girl!
Zachary loved his big giant ball!
I'm not sure what was going on with Carlee at this moment, but you know the drill....family pictures are hard to get with kids.

Easter Lunch

The Paulding family. Love that little boy and his tongue sticking out....
Rachel and Miemaw (the kids call her GG)

Mom and Dad
Carlee and Ellana
My brother Peter and cousin Justin
We spent Easter lunch with the Hatton family at the Goodson Cafe in Tomball. It was a great lunch!

Old McDonald's Farm

Carlee and I served in both Sunday morning Easter services in "Weezone Live." This is our children's program that involes kids worship, bible teaching and prayer. Carlee and I worked very hard to prepare for Easter Sunday. I was responsible for correographing a dance to the the "Barnyard Dance." We had several practices leading up to Easter so we could teach other girls the dance. Carlee was the youngest dancer and probably one of the best. She did awesome! We dressed in our cowgirl attire for the day and danced our hearts out. We also led a song "John 3:16" with motions. It was a very fun morning! I love that Carlee is right by my side each time I help lead the worship at our church. She has a song in her heart all the time. She will practice each song with excellence making sure she has it down to her very best before leading. She's a born worshipper and leader!
Here's us with the stage set up. They had farm puppets coming out of each window.
Carlee loved holding the baby chicks in between services.
Carlee and Samantha (also one of the dancers).

Easter Pictures

Daddy and Zachary looked like twins on Easter. We went to the Saturday night service at our church since Carlee and I had to serve at the Sunday service. It was a beautiful day!
Zachary loved finding the eggs.
Carlee only wanted eggs with prizes in them, so she looked in all the eggs before putting them in her basket. The only problem with that method is she didn't get as many because it took her longer to collect them all. Mommy is glad, but very surprised she didn't want any candy eggs.
The girls were pretty in pink
Family shot.... there was a lady doing free family photo's, so I am anxious to see how those came out. However, they were taken inside.
